Our Community

The town of Rosthern, population 1400, is proud home to Valley Regional Park, an 18 hole grass green golf course, with camping, a large playground and miniature golf. Life in this tight knit, friendly community, is fulfilling with all the amenities you could want away from the hustle of the city. And when you do need that big city, Saskatoon is just a moment away.

Rosthern, "where lifestyle counts", is home to a hospital with six physicians, as well as ambulance, fire and rescue services, and the RCMP.

The community boasts a multi-purpose center within the elementary school and excellent elementary and high school facilities with second-to-none teachers who care deeply about quality education and the welfare of children. In addition, our town is home to Rosthern Junior College (private, grades 10 - 12), a beautiful recently relocated library in the heart of downtown, a large quality grocery store, Jubilee Sports Center arena and curling, a new outdoor junior Olympic zero depth entry swimming pool, and lighted shale ball diamonds.

In addition, Rosthern has a water treatment plant, garbage and recycling pickup, street cleaning and snow removal, and the ever popular Town and Country Fair. Our town crew cares about the attractiveness of our town, and citizens often rave about their services in the local newspaper, "The Valley News". Rosthern is home to numerous churches, as well as multiple cultural, artistic and health centered activities.
